Underwrite conservatively and operate entrepreneurially while always conducting ourselves so that our clients’ grandchildren will do business with our grandchildren.

We live in an era of rapid and unprecedented change resulting in new risks and opportunities. To manage such risks and seize such opportunities, BMC has become increasingly proactive, staying alert to new trends and nimble in its approach to management, development and partnerships.

In the midst of change, our core principles remain rock solid: honestyintegrityhard work, and alignment with partners. These principles are more important than ever.

BMC provides a wide range of services, customized to the specific needs of our clients, partners, and properties. We are driven by relationships and seek to align our interests with those of our clients and partners.

Because we are owners, we manage with an owner’s perspective. We think strategically as well as tactically to provide optimal results.

“BMC has been managing Lyon Village Apartments for over 50 years. My partners and I are at ease with the knowledge that BMC has the experience and the expertise necessary to navigate the ever-changing apartment market. They make informed, intelligent management decisions and keep our property competitive while retaining the charm and elegance of a mid-1900’s apartment community.”

We are experienced in all aspects of ground up development, as well as renovation, repositioning and adaptive re-use of properties.

“BMC acquired an aging, unanchored retail center and redeveloped the site into a sustainable, grocery-anchored center that was certified LEED-CS Gold and has exceeded all our financial projections.”

Kevin Osborne, Owner, Burtonsville Town Square

Leasing and tenant retention are important and closely related disciplines. We pay close attention to tenant mix and cultivate long-term relationships. Our greatest leasing tools are our existing tenants, as they are among our best references.

“At Lyon Village Shopping Center, BMC’s attention to creating a dynamic tenant mix has contributed to the center’s sustained high occupancy.”

We help owners address wide ranging strategic issues: from planning and entitlements to execution.

“BMC’s detailed and expert advice allowed our group to acquire a well-constructed industrial property at below replacement cost while providing immediate above market returns.”

We are long-term investors in retail, multi-family and warehouse properties in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. We will consider direct acquisitions as well as joint ventures, ground leases and other structures.

“BMC Property Group’s approach works. They listened carefully and worked diligently with our trusted advisors to craft a joint venture agreement tailored to the needs of our family ownership group. When our needs unexpectedly changed well into the pre-development phase of the project, BMC listened again and completely restructured our agreement to realign itself with our new requirements and find a creative solution to the issues that had arisen. The result was a great outcome for all parties.”

Harry Martens, Imperial Investment Company

Here is a representative sampling of our commercial and industrial properties. We love a challenge and have tackled complex assignments ranging from foreclosures to estate planning to entitlements and ground up development.
